We set up National Homes C.I.C to provide help and encouragement to the most disadvantaged members of our community, in particular the homeless and the unwaged. But we will help anyone in need, providing expert advice, assistance with form filling and job applications, and hand-holding through their contacts with government agencies. This page tells you all about us – but it is all about you.

Good At Listening

If you feel so down that you just can’t sort out the issues facing you, come and talk to us. We’re really good at listening, and we’re entirely non-judgemental. So we’ll help you put things into perspective, and assist you in getting the help you need, whether it’s a matter of filling out forms or talking to the relevant agency. We can help you with expert advice through our network of qualified professionals. They will listen to your concerns, help you deal with any specific issues, and tell you where to get further support. Understanding Your Rights

If you find it difficult to get to grips with your rights as a citizen, come and talk to us. We will explain, in straightforward language, your entitlements to support from Government agencies and Local Authority departments.

For Form’s Sake

All government agencies and local authority departments will want you to fill in forms if you need help. Usually the forms are clear and, if you know what you are doing, fairly easy to complete. But you may feel unable to do so, in which case you should come and see us. We can help you complete forms to claim Housing Benefit, Job Seeker’s Allowance, Tax Credits, or any other kind of support to which you are entitled. If you need help with form filling, talk to us.

Pointing You In The Right Direction

We work with experts who can provide professional advice and support, and they will help you in every way possible. In particular, we can introduce you to other organisations which can assist with housing, job training, treatment for mental health issues or substance abuse, counselling to deal with personal concerns and so on.
